Using YouTube to Promote Your Fan Subscription Page!

I think one of the most overlooked platforms when it comes to promoting yourself and your spicy content is by far, YouTube. I, personally, have a love-hate relationship when it comes to this platform because I have been on it for almost a decade, and during that time I have grown a large following and received millions of views. But in that same breath, can also say I've had videos removed and demonetized. One thing I can say with certainty, is that having a loyal following on YouTube is one of the most valuable things you can have. And there are many reasons for this, as well as many ways you can begin to establish yourself on the platform! Let's begin!

So why is YouTube such a priceless asset for content creators with Unfiltrd or Onlyfans accounts? Well here are just the few reasons why:

  1. Views on YouTube count for more. Although content may not go as viral, and as quickly as on TikTok or Instagram, the average type of viewer on YouTube is someone who is willing to invest TIME into a creator they are watching. If they are making the choice to sit through long form content, there is much more of a possibility for that viewer to be left with an impression. Whether that be to subscribe to your YouTube channel, or to head on over to your Unfiltrd to see your more spicy side, there is more meaning and value behind the view as opposed to on Tik Tok. On Tik Tok, people are generally scrolling past content very quickly, and digesting more information than they can really handle. On YouTube, you truly have a DEDICATED audience, and this type of audience is much more likely to go to your spicy fan page. So don't be discouraged if you start a YouTube channel and don't see the hundreds and thousands of views rolling in like you'd expect on Tik Tok. While it may be harder to grow on YouTube, the quality of the viewership is much greater and much more loyal.

  2. You can MAKE MONEY on YouTube. And I'm not talking just the few extra dollars like you do on Tik Tok. On YouTube, ad-sense revenue can vary depending on the content, but if you find a specific niche on YouTube that is advertiser-friendly, this can mean an extra $100-$1,000 dollars per month. Now the trick is, to find a type of content niche that works in favor of promoting your spicy page, and that is also advertiser friendly. I highly suggest try-on hauls or cosplay videos, as these will tease viewers with slightly sexy content, and leave them wanting to see even more content (behind a paywall). This sort of content, also happens to do very well, views-wise (especially if well-produced).

  3. Building a YouTube following will benefit you all across the board. It will feed your other social media platforms with more viewers and followers, and in turn will have a funnel effect onto your fan subscription platform!

  4. You can repurpose YouTube content! YouTube content can be shortened and turned into Reels, Tik Toks, and even extra "BTS" content for your fan subscription page. So while YouTube content may take longer to produce, as it is long-form content, that use of your time is not in vain! There are endless possibilities of things you can do with your YouTube videos.

  5. Lastly, keep in mind the relatively new "YouTube Shorts" feature. In the YouTube app, you are able to upload shorts, which are basically their version of TikToks. They can be up to 60 seconds long, and just as you can repurpose your YouTube content and upload it on other platforms, the reverse can be done as well. If you have any high performing TikToks, just find an app that removes the watermark and allows you to download the clips. Then, all you have to do is reupload it as a YouTube Short. YouTube reports that Shorts have about 2 billion active viewers each month, so definitely capitalize on this potential audience!

So now that you know WHY having a YouTube channel is a great idea, let's put that idea into action and explain how to get the ball rolling:

  1. The first step is to have a NICHE. Just like with your content on your fan subscription page, you want to make sure that when people land on your channel, they know what they are getting if they subscribe. As I mentioned earlier, doing try-on videos or cosplays, are very tried and true niches on YouTube that not only perform well, but will get you the type of viewership that tends to subscribe to spicy sites.

  2. The second step is to start filming content and get the ball rolling. This is the hardest and most daunting task, because obviously this will take some time and patience. I recommend setting aside 1 day per week to film 2-3 videos for your YouTube channel. During that time, you can also shoot other content since you will already be in "hair and makeup". Once you have the content, edit it either on Imovie, Final Cut Pro, or any other video editor that you like to use. Upload and schedule your videos in advance so that you are scheduled out 1-2 weeks in advance! It also helps if your content is good quality, so make sure to use a newer Iphone, or invest in a camera such as a Canon G7x!

  3. The third step is to make sure that your content can be found and entices people to CLICK! How does one go about that? Well first of all, make sure that you have a high quality thumbnail that POPS. Make sure it is clear, and that if you do add any text to the thumbnail, that it is large enough to be read, and adds a little bit of "click-bait". You really want the thumbnail to make people stop in their tracks and think, "Wow, I have to check this video out!". Be careful with nudity or anything that is too sexy, as YouTube is extremely strict and WILL take down your content (and even ban your account!)

  4. One thing that really makes YouTube different from other platforms, is that it's not just a social media platform, but it's also a search engine. People go to YouTube and search all sorts of things, and so that is why you want to make sure that the title of your video is something that is "searchable" and makes people want to click. Before posting your video, check out what current trends are on YouTube, and even plan your titles before you film your videos. You can also do a search of your title before posting, on YouTube, and see what other videos have been made with a similar title. See if those videos have gotten a lot of views, and when they were posted, to see if this title has the potential to perform well.

  5. The secret formula: Good quality content, a great title, an eye-popping thumbnail, and accurate hashtags! One additional thing to keep in mind is to promote your YouTube videos on other platforms (especially when you are just starting out). Use your already established following to give your new channel and videos a boost!

And there you have it! This is why YouTube is such a highly valuable funnel for your fan subscription platform. Bare in mind, YouTube is more strict than other platforms when it comes to sexy content, so make sure your content is PG, doesn't display any nudity, and doesn't directly mention your spicy site. Instead, use a link tree, and refer to your page in videos in a suggestive manner instead of saying it directly. If you follow those rules, you should be fine, and once your channel reaches 10,000 views, you are able to apply for their monetization program and earn money on each view and click! It has been nearly 10 years that I have been on YouTube, and although I have taken periodic breaks, I never intend on stopping because it is truly a platform designed for brands and businesses. And there is no better place to promote and grow your brand/business than on YouTube!
